'He's Way Too Smart': Sidney Crosby's Ancient Ways Keep Him Focused, Per Josh Yohe
NHL insider Josh Yohe reveals that Sidney Crosby has that old-school, laser-focused mentality, which means he will likely not join social media after retirement.
Crosby's Likely Absence from Social Media Highlights His Preference for Privacy and Legacy Over Public Spotlight
One of the followers asked NHL reporter Josh Yohe if Sidney Crosby will ever make a social media post
after he retires.
Josh Yohe does not believe so. Crosby is too smart and disciplined, and he likes staying silent and focused, something that social media could play a factor in ruining.
Assuming Sid doesn't have burners do you think he would join social media once he hangs them up?
I don't think he'll ever do that. He's way too smart.

Even that discipline carries over to his diet, as Yohe can't ever remember seeing Crosby consume anything but clean foods.
The nearest he's gotten? Crosby once told him that he likes Subway chocolate chip cookies, and that's as close as he gets to being decadent.
Fans also asked Yohe if Crosby is maybe a better individual than he is a player, a tremendous compliment considering the Hall of Fame-level career he's had. Examples to illustrate that point come along on a regular basis, Yohe said.
For example, this off-season, at team facilities early every morning, Crosby got up diligently, despite being 37 years old and four months prior to the start of the upcoming season.
That's a type of devotion that, even for a professional hockey player, is quite rare. It's a reflection of Crosby's aggressive work ethic and unwavering devotion, traits that have been present throughout his entire career up until now but still distinguish him on and off the rink.
