Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau were tragically killed on August 29th while riding their bicycles near Salem, New Jersey, which just so happens to be their hometown.
Throughout all of this, Johnny & Matthew have received tributes from numerous people around the sports world. In fact, the two recently received a tribute from Alex Singleton, a player with the Denver Broncos of the NFL. Singleton previously played for the Calgary Stampeders, so he has a connection to Johnny, who played with the Calgary Flames.
As you can see in the clip up above, Singleton wore a Calgary Flames jersey with Gaudreau's name and number on the back. It was an amazing gesture, and once again, it shows how the brothers meant so much to so many people around the sports world. For now, it really feels like the tributes will never stop. Once again, it showcases the impact the Gaudreaus had on culture and society as a whole.
Our heart goes out to the Gaudreau family during this extremely difficult time. We hope that all of the people affected are able to find peace and healing following such a hard tragedy.
