The Penguins currently have the longest active point streak in the NHL, and they face a Jets team that will be determined to try to stop it from going any further.

Pittsburgh enters the matchup on an eight-game point streak (7-0-2), the longest active run in the NHL, and they've climbed to first overall in the league standings for the first time since 2016.
The Penguins have dominated the Jets in recent years, going 17-7-0 in their last 24 meetings and 4-2-0 in their last six trips to Winnipeg. But this one won't come easy: the Jets are determined to be the team that finally halts Pittsburgh's momentum.
Projected Jets lines

Vladislav Namestnikov - Jonathan Toews - Alex Iafallo

Cole Koepke - Parker Ford - Brad Lambert

Logan Stanley / Neal Pionk
Haydn Fleury / Luke Schenn

GOALIES

The Jets will also need to try and cool off the red-hot Evgeni Malkin

Evgeni Malkin continues to buck Father Time and defy expectations. His 17 points (3G-14A) rank tied for third in the NHL, and his 14 assists are the most in the league.
Bryan Rust is riding a five-game point streak (4G-4A), while Kris Letang and Erik Karlsson continue to anchor one of the NHL's most productive blue lines. Only three teams have more points from their defensemen.
Between the pipes, Tristan Jarry is one game shy of 300 in his career and nearly unbeatable against Winnipeg with a 5-2-0 record, 1.42 goals-against average, .951 save percentage, and two shutouts.
Manitoba native Owen Pickering could also be in line to make his first career appearance at Canada Life Centre, roughly 30 minutes from his hometown of St. Adolphe.
Projected Penguins lines

For the Penguins, it's the chance to extend their league-best winning streak and further tighten their grip on the league's overall best record. For the Jets, it's a statement game at home, and a chance to stop hockey's hottest team in its tracks.
