The Toronto Maple Leafs, despite reports have apparently not decided they have to trade Mitch Marner and instead could choose to keep the forward.

A report suggests that dealing Mitch Marner might not result in a sale for the Toronto Maple. Something that represents a significant reroute. They are under no pressure to deal the great winger, at the very least.

There have been a ton of unfounded rumors this off-season regarding Mitch Marner, including where he might go, whether he gets dealt before the season starts, and whether he would play out his contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, things may not always turn out as they seem.

The Toronto Maple Leafs might not be completely convinced that they need to trade Mitch Marner out of Toronto just yet, per a report by David Alter and The Hockey News.

Report: The #Leafs are not 100 percent decided that they have to trade Mitch Marner.

Do they need to be proactive on this or just make use of the luxury of time?

Contrary to other reports, the Leafs have not requested a list of teams that he would be ready to accept a trade to, and the story indicates that they are not in a rush to push a deal for my Toronto. Compared to what we've heard thus far this off-season, this is a total 180.

Though the two sides' relationship is now strained, one thing is for sure: Mitch Marner's camp is unhappy about all of the rumors that are being circulated about their client. These events are inevitable in one of the largest hockey markets, though.

Do you think there's any possibility that Mitch Marner stays a leaf after next season or is the relationship too far gone and has the fanbase been alienated enough for them to push him out? We'll have to wait and see but this makes for an interesting off-season.
