The Stanley Cup Playoffs are usually when you see players become more aggressive during games, and as of this year we have witness many altercations, but during game three of the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers series Connor McDavid got back-to-back cross-checks from Nikita Zadorov and Carson Soucy that were clearly dirty.
The NHL Department of Player Safety has now announced that Soucy would be suspended for his cross-check on McDavid.
Due to the circumstances of Soucy's cross-check and it being after the game was over, it's clear on why he received the suspension he did.
