Tonight, reports have indicated that the Columbus Blue Jackets recently declined a trade involving disgruntled forward Yegor Chinakhov.

During training camp, reports came out that former Columbus Blue Jackets first-round pick had requested a trade after not being happy with his playing time.
Chinakhov, 24, was a first rounder in 2020 and made his NHL debut shortly after in 2021 becoming a reliable bottom-six forward.

Now, reports have confirmed that the Toronto Maple Leafs recently were deep in trade talks with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
