During a game Friday night something incredibly rare unfolded on the ice, courtesy of a Blackhawk: a goalie goal.

Jaxson Stauber, the starting goalie for the Rockford Icehogs in the AHL, achieved the remarkable feat of scoring a goalie goal against the Chicago Wolves in a 4-0 shutout victory.
And what makes it even more special? It all went down on their Taylor Swift night.
Stauber, at 24 years old, had a solid stint during the 2022-23 campaign, boasting a 5-1 record with a 2.81 GAA and a .911 SV%. However, this season in the AHL has been challenging for him and the Icehogs, with Stauber posting a .894 SV% and a 3.16 GAA.
But despite the struggles, Stauber's historic goalie goal will forever remain a highlight. From shooting the puck 200 feet down the ice to leading the team to the bench, it's a moment that will be remembered for years to come.
