Marc-Andre Fleury Reveals His Playing Days are Not Done Yet
Marc-Andre Fleury has officially retired from the NHL, and while he's done from the worlds best league, he has reportedly not hung up the skates as of yet.
After a long, illustrious career in the NHL with Pittsburgh, Vegas, Chicago and ultimately Minnesota, the sports world bid farewell to Marc-Andre Fleury after his final game with Team Canada at the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
It was a tough end to the career of one of the league's greatest ever goaltenders, but with three Stanley Cups under his belt as well as one Vezina Trophy win and the second most wins in NHL history as a goaltender, it's safe to say that he'll retire as a very happy man.
In a recent interview, Fleury revealed that the Wild will keep him around in some capacity, and while he won't become a goaltending coach, the organization and GM Bill Guerin will have him present around the facility as he looks to learn more about the business side and how things work.
"He also offered me the chance to see how things work, to go to the office a bit, see the meetings with the scouts, the coaches, see a bit how the business works on that side.

After that, Fleury reveals that his playing days aren't quite yet done, as he notes that he's joining a beer league with a friend, but not in the role as a goaltender.
"I'm going to play with friends in a beer league.
But not as a goalie, as a forward."

After so long as a goaltender, this is a move that makes sense for Fleury, and while he doesn't want to deal with the rigours of a long season full of travel, recovery and potential injuries, he's not leaving the ice just yet as he'll become one of the biggest names in that particular beer league.
