4 Top Wingers Penguins Could Target to Play with Sidney Crosby in 2025
Penguins are making some big moves as of late and now we have multiple players that Pittsburgh general manager Kyle Dubas could potentially target in the summer to bring to town to play alongside Sidney Crosby.
The offseason work is already well underway for Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas, who already parted ways with head coach Mike Sullivan after nearly 10 full years on the job.
For Pittsburgh, who has now missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for 3 straight years, they'll need considerable additions up front if they have any intention of playing playoff hockey in 2026.
Multiple reports and rumours has
suggested 4 different names of pending free agent forwards whom Dubas could potentially consider trying to sign during the summer.
Boeser is all but assured to leave Vancouver as he himself indicated late last month, while Ehlers is currently in the postseason with the Jets against the St. Louis Blues.
Per Bonnard, Donato, who played with the struggling Chicago Blackhawks this season, would likely be the most inexpensive option for Dubas to consider:
There is the prospect of grabbing Ryan Donato, another talented goal scorer from Chicago. This would be a cheaper option than the two mentioned above, but Donato had a breakout season with 31 goals and 31 assists on a seriously bad Blackhawks team. Both parties could benefit from his arrival in Pittsburgh.
Penguins fans, which of the 4 aforementioned names would represent the best fit for Pittsburgh to play alongside Sidney Crosby?
