Pavel Zacha has been a consistent performer for Boston in his career, but now the Bruins are shopping him, giving the Penguins a chance to add a great forward.
While most expect the Pittsburgh Penguins to struggle in 2025/26, there's a chance that with this veteran core led by the likes of
Sidney Crosby and
Evgeni Malkin, this team could put together a surprise campaign.
If that happens, there's a chance that they could pursue adding some intriguing talents to this roster, and now, one potential trade candidate has been revealed on a conference rival.
According to The Fourth Period, Pavel Zacha was a name getting shopped by the Boston Bruins at the 2025 trade deadline, and while the team love him as a player, there's a great chance that they will explore moving him again this off-season or early in the 2025/26 season.
The 28-year old has been solid in the past three years, coming into his own as a centre in the NHL with point totals of 57, 59 and 47 over the past three seasons, and with the Penguins needing depth down the middle beyond their two veteran stars, Zacha could be just the type of addition that they are looking for.
Zacha currently has two years remaining on his deal with a $4.750 million salary cap hit in that time, making him a very affordable option for the Penguins, who are likely to run out Tommy Novak as their 3C to start the new season.
