Sidney Crosby started his NHL career hot and hasn't slowed down, and despite the quicker pace, his play at the Four Nations showed he can still dominate for Canada.

Over his illustrious career, Sidney Crosby has remained consistently one of the best players in the NHL, and now as he nears the final stretch of his career, he's being appreciated for how much he means to the Penguins and to Hockey Canada.
Ahead of the 2026 Olympic Games, teammates for that tournament have raved about how much Crosby means to them, but he's not just there in a leadership role, as he's still one of the best players in the league.

20 Straight NHL Seasons at a Point-Per-Game Pace

While all eyes were on Alex Ovechkin passing Wayne Gretzky in 2024/25, Crosby quietly passed one of his greatest feats too, tallying his 20th straight season at a point-per-game or better, the most in NHL history.
That comes at 38-years of age as Crosby posted 33 goals and 91 points in 80 games played, and even in the international stage, he can still keep up with some of the best in the world, showing that at the Four Nations as he posted 5 points in 4 games played.

Why Crosby Remains a Threat Despite Hockey's Faster Pace

Many players have admitted that was the fastest hockey they've ever played, and while Crosby isn't as quick as he once was, with his passing ability and his unmatched hockey IQ, he can more than hold his own at the highest level.
Ultimately, Crosby will go down as one of the five greatest players to ever play hockey when he officially retires, but at 38-years of age, he's shown very few signs of slowing down, and with a star studded cast around him at the 2026 Olympics, expect to see the best of Captain Canada at this tournament.
