Defensive Prospect Finn Harding Sends Kyle Dubas and the Penguins a Clear Message

The Pittsburgh Penguins prospect group needs plenty of talent before this team can begin truly building something for the future, but in their current pool of players, there are certainly many that have potential.

One of those players is former seventh-round pick Finn Harding, a defenseman that was selected No. 223 overall in 2024, and with solid size on the blue line, many believe that the selection of the Toronto native has gone highly underrated for Kyle Dubas and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Now, the 20-year old has sent a clear message to the team about his future, addressing his draft position and his future ahead of his second training camp with the organization.

Picked at No. 223, that means every team in the NHL passed over Harding several times, but after posting 7 goals and 57 points for the Brampton Steelheads in his post-draft season, he's already set on proving the league that they've missed out.

After that season, Harding got a shot in three games with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, meaning he'll push for a spot in the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this season, and with Pittsburgh needing talent on the blue line for the future, don't be surprised if this is a name we hear much more about in the coming years.
