Devastating Blow as Penguins Confirm Final Road Game Lineup Without Star Player

The Pittsburgh Penguins are banged up as they begin their final few games of the year, as it was announced that Rutger McGroarty's season has come to an end because of injury.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will not be fully healthy as they play the final few games of their year, which will come to a close without a playoff spot for the 3rd straight year; it's the longest playoff drought of captain Sidney Crosby's career.
The Penguins will not have young Rutger McGroarty, who was recently re-called from the American Hockey League, available for their final 3 games of the year. He's dealing with a lower-body injury and has been ruled out.
The Penguins have also announced that Noel Acciari (undisclosed), Blake Lizotte (undisclosed), Matt Nieto (undisclosed), and Tommy Novak (lower-body) will also be unavailable.
Penguins coach Mike Sullivan expressed his disappointment because of how well McGroarty was playing and hopes that he'll be able to get in more games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
It's disappointing because he was playing real well and we thought it was a great experience for him, to get NHL games. We're hopeful that Rutger's injury will come around. We are hopeful that Wilkes-Barre will play long enough that he will have an opportunity to help them continue to have success down there.
McGroarty skated in 8 games with the Penguins after being brought up from the AHL; he had 3 points (1G, 2A).
In the meantime, the Penguins begin the final 3 games of their schedule beginning on Friday against the New Jersey Devils:
Following Friday night's game against the Devils, the Penguins will host both the Boston Bruins and the Washington Capitals before breaking for the summer.
