Tonight, a report from Penguins beat writer and insider Josh Yohe has suggested that Sidney Crosby's agent could pressure the Penguins to go all-in this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are off to an unexpectedly fantastic start to the NHL season which has led many fans to wonder if a Stanley Cup Playoff appearance is possible.
The Penguins led by veteran stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin have been elevated by young surprise stars Ben Kindel and Harrison Brunicke.
Heading into the season, Sidney Crosby's agent was vocal about wanting Crosby to seek a trade if the Penguins were out of contention.
Now, a new report has indicated Crosby and his agent could demand the Penguins push to contend earlier than expected.

Sidney Crosby's Agent Could Look to Force Penguins to Go All-In

In a new report, Penguins reporter Josh Yohe of The Athletic believes there is a possibility that Crosby's agent Pat Brisson could be in Kyle Dubas' ear about adding talent.
We already know that agent Pat Brisson thinks Crosby deserves to be playing in the postseason because he recently said just that. We also know that Dubas and Brisson talk multiple times every day, because Dubas confirmed that. You think Brisson won't be administering some pressure on Dubas if the Penguins continue on this path?

However, Yohe believes that even if Brisson places pressure on Dubas that the Penguins GM will place value on the team's future over a potential playoff run and short term success this season.
Everyone I have spoken with, however, tells me that Dubas isn't going to budge, that he possesses a vision of the future for these Penguins that is bright. And he's not going to mess with that. He's not going to get aggressive on the trade market and give up any future assets merely to help this team reach the playoffs.

If this scenario does in fact play out it could become an all out war between Brisson and Dubas that could get ugly and personal quickly if not handled delicately.
As the season continues, if the Penguins continue to outperform expectations this will be a situation to keep an eye on.
