Justin Brazeau is a brand new father, and after scoring against the New York Rangers, he's shown appreciation for Evgeni Malkin's kind gesture.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have been off to a solid start in 2025/26, with the team now sitting at 2-1-0 after a tough loss in Mike Sullivan's return with the New York Rangers on Monday.
However, they played a thriller with another division rival in the Islanders earlier this week, and with the 4-3 victory, the team showed that even without top level talent, they're a force to be reckoned with.

Heading into that game, Justin Brazeau was revealed to have just had a child, and unsurprisingly, he used that new found
dad strength to pick up the game winning goal in the matchup, assisted by Evgeni Malkin and
Anthony Mantha.
Not only that, but after finding out about the birth of Brazeau's son, the veteran Malkin showed his class, making sure to grab the puck out of the net for Brazeau to keep in honour of his newborn.
Brazeau recently opened up on that incredible gesture, revealing that the puck is already in his nursery, showing his thanks to Malkin, with whom he is starting to build immense chemistry early in the season.
That was awesome. It's already in the nursery.
Hockey is so much more than what just happens on the ice, and after the team found out about Brazeau's son, they had to make it special, and with Malkin once again showing his class, this appears to be a very tight knit group that's ready to have plenty of fun on and off the ice in 2025/26.
