Longtime Marc-Andre Fleury teammate Kris Letang addressed the media following Fleury's final game in the NHL on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Pittsburgh.

The career of former Pittsburgh Penguins goalie is now officially over, as he returned to play a final preseason game wearing the sweater that he won 3 Stanley Cups with in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
Fleury signed a PTO with the Penguins with the intention of playing a final game and then officially retiring. The game on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets was sold out, and there were hundreds of fans already waiting in the lower bowl on Pittsburgh's side of the ice to catch a glimpse of Fleury during the pregame skate.
Fleury got multiple standing ovations during the game, especially after the game was over.
Longtime teammate Kris Letang spoke in the locker room on Sunday about what it meant to him seeing his old teammate get lots of love from the fans:
It was special. Obviously, we kind of lived it when he was coming back with a different team, nobody knew if it was his last year or whatever. But to have him wear our uniform and play in a game, it was fun, it was special and emotional. He was a big part of our team for a long time and kind of the guy who started that kind of rebuild. He was the 1st number 1 pick we got.

All those years, we have tons of memories and to see how much the fans appreciate him to come back and make, like a special night, like that was special.

Marc-Andre Fleury is 2nd all-time in NHL goalie wins

Fleury, who was taken 1st overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, played the 1st decade and a half of his career in a Penguins sweater.
He led the Penguins to the 2009 Stanley Cup, their 1st since 1992, and has his name on the Cup twice more in 2016 and 2017.
He has also played for the Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild.
Fleury's 572 career NHL wins are 2nd most all-time only behind Martin Brodeur.
