Kyle Dubas is now hunting for a new Head Coach in Pittsburgh, and already he has ruled out one intriguing candidate that may have excited their fans, with many more possibilities still out there.
While the Penguins future is still up in the air after moving on from Sullivan, if they can make some good moves this summer their future plans can change quite a lot, and that all begins with their next Head Coach.
We don't yet know which candidates are at the top of the list to replace Sullivan behind the Penguins bench, but now what we do know is that Dubas has ruled out one specific option already.
After a stint behind the bench in the USHL with the Dubuque Fighting Saints that lasted two seasons, he took the AHL job this past season, leading the WBS Penguins to a 40-24-7 record in the regular season, and while he's key for the future at 41-years of age, it's not now for Dubas.
More likely than not, they'll look to go after a coach with NHL experience that can still grow with this team moving forward, and while we don't yet know who that could be, we know for certain that it won't be MacDonald.
