Matt Dumba addressed the media for the first time as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins after being acquired by the club via trade this summer.
The interview gave fans an insight into the players thoughts as teams around the NHL begin their training camps.
Dumba Speaks on New Start in Pittsburgh
After spending a majority of his career in Minnesota with the Wild, the team who drafted him, Matt Dumba has spent the past couple of seasons bouncing around NHL clubs. The veteran defenseman was traded to Pittsburgh alongside a 2nd round pick from Dallas in exchange for defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok.

Dumba didn't shy away from the media in his first availability of training camp, giving some insight into his thoughts on the organization and the team.
"We have such a skilled group and unique players who have a lot of poise, and if I'm also able to have that poise and hold onto pucks and find opportunities to move it to those guys and create space for them, they're gonna make awesome plays." - Dumba on the players in state of the Penguins' locker room
Dumba Showing Out in Training Camp
Dumba's start to the Penguins' training camp has been nothing short of phenomenal, with fans and analysts alike raving about his performance on social media.
"Some of yinz may laugh, but you know who had a good practice in Group C? Matt Dumba. Scored a couple of pretty goals during some drills and his skating lookedfine! Again, it's VERY early, but wanted to point it out.
The trio of Avery Hayes, Sam Poulin and Matt Dumba have dominated 3v3 drills. Hayes setting up, Poulin and Dumba knocking them down.
While it's still early on in the preseason, Dumba's performance thus far has been a shimmer of hope for Penguins fans. Could the change of scenery be the fresh start the veteran defenseman needed to return to form?
