Veteran defenseman Matt Dumba, who is playing in his first year with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, is on quite a roll in the American Hockey League with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Veteran defenseman Matt Dumba is playing in his first year in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, as he was acquired in July from the Dallas Stars with a second round pick in the 2028 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Vladislav Kolyachonok.
He's spent the majority of the year playing with the American Hockey League affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and has been a healthy scratch multiple times, but right now, his play is giving the Penguins second thoughts on perhaps giving him more shots in the NHL.
Thanks to a strong recent showing in which he had six points (1G, 5A), Dumba was honoured by being named the recipient of the title of Howie's Hockey Tape AHL Player of the Week.
