Per a new report from NHL analyst Pierre LeBrun, the Pittsburgh Penguins are in no rush to trade veteran forward Bryan Rust, who recently reached 200 career goals scored.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are likely set to undergo big changes in terms of their roster, and several veteran players have been mentioned in recent trade rumors.
The likes of forwards Bryan Rust and Rickard Rakell, along with defenseman Erik Karlsson, have all been named as potential trade candidates as Penguins GM Kyle Dubas works to get the club back to the postseason.
They've missed in each of the last 3 years, the longest drought of captain and future Hall of Famer Sidney Crosby's NHL career.

The Penguins are listening but they're in no rush, if they in fact trade him at all. And I think the reason they're in no rush is that some teams who don't accomplish what they're looking to do in free agency or on the trade market in the next 10 days may need to circle back to the Penguins. The market for Rust is already strong, but it may become even more robust as the summer goes.

Rust, who scored a career-best 31 goals this year, also recently scored the 200th goal of his NHL career.
Rust also has 3 years left on his current contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $5,125,000.
