Connor Dewar's NHL career has begun to flourish in Pittsburgh, and now the Manitoba native has opened up on an emotional return home as they face the Jets.

Connor Dewar has appeared in 250 NHL games between Minnesota, Toronto and now Pittsburgh, but after tallying 4 goals and 7 points in 17 games with the Penguins after arriving last season, it became clear that he finally found a true role and a home in the NHL.
This season, he's off to another solid start, with 3 goals and 4 points in 12 games showing that he's found his role with the team and continues to impress the organization in that role as a consistent contributor.

Dewar Reveals Emotions Ahead of a Return To Winnipeg

Now, the team will head to Winnipeg to face the Jets on Saturday, with the 26-year old native of The Pas in Manitoba revealing how emotional this game will be given that his friends and family will be in attendance to see him play.
There'll probably be maybe 15 people I have to get tickets for. Then I know just a lot of people from back home got their own tickets, and maybe not even told me that they're going, So, I honestly don't know. There could be as many as 50 people from around town.
The Jets didn't return to Winnipeg until Dewar was already 12-years of age, and as a result, it became tough for his family to see NHL games given how far away the closest team was (Minnesota, 13 hour drive), meaning there will be plenty of emotion in this game as Dewar will be right in Winnipeg to play in front of his family.
On the ice, these are two of the hottest teams in the entire NHL, meaning it should be a stellar matchup, but with potentially up to 50 friends and family in the stands, look for Dewar to have one of his best games in the NHL in this one.
