Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry shared some insider information about the Penguins last night after their win over St. Louis.
The Penguins are hot following the trade deadline, winning their last three games in a row.
Two of those games have come with Tristan Jarry in net, who has been excellent since being recalled from the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins of the AHL.
The team's latest win came last night when they took down the St. Louis Blues by a final score of 5-3.
Jarry made 33 saves on 36 shots, good for a .917 save percentage.
The Penguins netminder is up to 10 wins on the season as he now boasts a record of 10-8-4, a goals-against-average of 3.15, and a save percentage of .891.
It will take some time for his season stats to rebound, but if he continues to play like this, perhaps they will.
Perhaps he could even become a hero and help guide the team to a playoff birth, although that would take a bit of a miracle.
After the game last night though, Jarry made one comment that was particuarly revealing about the Penguins organization and team culture.
He said that every single guy on the team reached out to him after he was sent down to the AHL earlier in the season.
This is a big deal for a veteran like Jarry, and he said just how much it meant to him.
"Probably each and every guy on this team reached out at some point. Obviously, I needed a little bit of a lift. It meant a lot to me. I think that says a lot for the whole group and the Pittsburgh Penguins as a whole."
Notably, the Penguins were outshot 36-19 in the game. The Penguins will be back in action tomorrow when they host the New Jersey Devils.
