Penguins head coach Dan Muse spotted giving back to the Pittsburgh community ahead of special holiday
Today, a new video posted by the Pittsburgh Penguins social team showed off a special moment between head coach Dan Muse and the Pittsburgh Warriors Hockey organization.
Today, the United States came together for a federal holiday to celebrate Veterans Day paying tribute to all of the amazing military veterans who have helped protect the freedom of the United States.
With the Penguins traveling overseas for the NHL's Global Series the team was unable to give back and celebrate with the community today.
However, the Penguins did post a wonderful interaction between head coach Dan Muse and the Pittsburgh Warriors Hockey organization when the team came visit the practice facility last month.
Dan Muse Visits With Local Veterans Bonding Over the Love of Hockey
In the video, Muse can be seen chatting with the veterans running players through drills before seemingly ending the day with a scrimmage which Muse officiated.
After the festivities were done Muse shared a special message with the players in attendance before taking them to the Penguins locker room.
I can't thank you guys enough. It's a huge honor for me to be out here with you guys and getting to spend a day with you so thank you.
From there, it was revealed that the Penguins foundation would be donating all new equipment to the team.
This is the latest in a long history of the Penguins having an incredible relationship with the Pittsburgh community and giving back to members of the community through the sport we all love.
As the season continues and the Penguins return home, hopefully the team can reunite with the Pittsburgh Warriors program and continue to give back to a worthy cause.
