Tonight, Penguins 2025 first-round pick Will Horcoff has put himself on a historic goal scoring pace with a two goal performance against Harvard.
Coming into the season Penguins first-round pick Will Horcoff was expected to be an impact player in the NCAA.
Even with the high expectations Horcoff has shattered even the most high of expectations becoming a clear favorite for the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA's best player.
Tonight, Horcoff's impressive play continued with a two-goal performance against Harvard.
With his 18th goal the year already for the Wolverines, Horcoff has now put himself on pace for an accomplishment not seen in the NCAA in the last 20 years.
Will Horcoff on pace for historic goal scoring season in the NCAA
With 18 goals in 18 games, Horcoff is on pace to be the first player since the 1990s to score a goal per game.
Now, the season is still young and the Michigan Wolverines still have half of their season to play but Horcoff's success has been truly unbelievable.
Last season, Horcoff played 18 games at Michigan after arriving mid-season and now through 18 games with the team this year he already has more goals than he had points all of last season.
As the season continues, it will be interesting to see if Horcoff can continue this incredible pace and re-write the recent history books.
Once the season ends, the watch will begin to see if Kyle Dubas and the front office decide to sign Horcoff after his incredible season or send him back to the NCAA for more development.
