The Pittsburgh Penguins roster is set to undergo many changes this off-season, and now we know of three players that they're unlikely to re-sign.

After a third straight disappointing campaign, the Pittsburgh Penguins are looking to make some changes this summer, and after moving on from Mike Sullivan behind the bench, this team could look very different in 2025/26.
With money to spend and an abundance of draft picks, there's a chance that this team can bring in some top names over the summer, but to make that happen, they'll need to free up some roster spots.
To make that happen, it's unlikely that they bring back some of their unrestricted free agents, and while fans love the idea of Boko Imama returning, these three names are likely to be on the way out:
While Koppanen and Nieto are both not going to be useful to the Penguins moving forward, Grzelcyk could potentially be an option for the team moving forward, especially if they opt to trade Erik Karlsson, which is a move that has long been anticipated in the off-season of 2025.
After bringing up the duo of Rutger McGroarty and Ville Koivunen, the Penguins likely solidified their top-six moving forward, and while they still need to explore the free agency market or potentially finding a star via trade, the depth pieces are already there for them to be somewhat competitive in 2025/26.
Ultimately, Kyle Dubas has many decisions to make this off-season starting with a new Head Coach, the draft, free agency and the trade market, but simply put, the team doesn't need any more veteran depth, they need stars, so don't expect to see these three players back in a Penguins uniform next year.
