The Flyers have suspended broadcaster Tim Saunders for at least two games after he was caught on a hot mic making some very inappropriate comments.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced Friday that they and their radio partner, 97.5 The Fanatic, have handed out a two-game suspension after a hot-mic incident during Thursday's game against the Buffalo Sabres.

What Tim Saunders was caught saying live on air

The moment happened in the third period when Buffalo was up 3-2. The game went to a commercial break, but the radio feed stayed live, catching an inappropriate exchange between play-by-play announcer Tim Saunders and color commentator Todd Fedoruk.
Saunders: "While you're down there, would you mind bl*wing me?"

Fedoruk: "I think we're still on the air, Tim."

Saunders: (Laughter) "No we're not, are we?"
After the incident, Saunders could be heard talking briefly with a production crew member named Mike before getting back to calling the game.
Saunders: "Do you have us? Mikey, talk to me."

The Flyers said they will deal with everyone involved.
From the team: "Effective immediately, the Flyers, along with our radio partners, 97.5 The Fanatic, have issued a two-game suspension while we address this matter with all parties involved."

Why things also went bad on the ice for the Flyers last night

On the ice, Philadelphia couldn't recover and fell 5-3 to the Sabres. Travis Konecny scored his 10th goal of the season, while Bobby Brink contributed two assists.
The team now sits at 17-10-6 with 40 points, placing fourth in the Metropolitan Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference.
Forward Trevor Zegras, who joined from the Anaheim Ducks last June, leads the team with 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points in 33 games.
Goaltender Dan Vladar has a 12-5-3 record with a .910 save percentage and a 2.41 goals-against average in 20 appearances.
The incident has put the spotlight on the Flyers' broadcast team, but the players will need to move on quickly as they look to climb the standings.
