Isaac Howard's future is not with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and now, the Hobey Baker Award winner could be a major addition for the Pittsburgh Penguins as they look to add to their very light prospect pool.

The Tampa Bay Lightning thought they had landed a star in the first-round with forward Isaac Howard, but this past season, things took a turn for the worst in their relationship.
According to all reports, Howard no longer has any intention of signing with the team, making him a prime trade candidate this summer as teams look to potentially bring him in and give him a roster spot for the 2025/26 season.
Howard recently addressed the situation, revealing that he and the Lightning simply didn't see eye-to-eye, and now, a trade or him hitting college free agency after this season is the most likely outcome.
«I just feel like with me and Tampa, we didn't see eye to eye the same way I thought we would. It wasn't a situation where I was demanding to step right into the NHL, it wasn't anything like that. It just didn't necessarily work.»
Now, teams are lining up to potentially push to land the talented young forward, with the Pittsburgh Penguins being identified as a very possible landing spot for the Hobey Baker Award winner.

It's unclear what the Lightning's asking price for Howard will be this summer, and it's safe to say that they know he's in high demand, but with the Penguins looking to find another young star alongside the likes of Rutger McGroarty, they should be pushing hard to land him in the coming weeks and months.
