The Pittsburgh Penguins hired Dan Muse as their new Head Coach, and now they've officially filled out the staff with several intriguing hires announced on Friday.

After an expansive search for their next Head Coach, the Pittsburgh Penguins settled on the well travelled Dan Muse, who has been an assistant coach for over 20 years throughout the NCAA, USHL, USNTDP and the NHL, finally landing a Head Coach role at age 43.
For weeks though, Penguins fans have been waiting patiently to see how this team would fill out their coaching staff, and on Friday, the team officially announced Muse's assistants on social media.
The most interesting one was the confirmation that recently retired former Penguin Nick Bonino would indeed be taking a role as an assistant, with the former teammate of Crosby, Malkin and Letang taking up a role with the team less than a week after officially retiring from playing.
On top of that, the team confirmed reports that Todd Nelson would be joining the staff, coming off of Calder Cup victories in 2023 and 2024 with the Hershey Bears, as the former Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick returns to the organization.
The team also announced the additions of Rich Clune and Troy Paquette, with Andy Chiodo remaining on the Penguins staff in the same role as goaltending coach that he has been in previously.
Ultimately, this may not be the most experienced NHL staff of all time, but with a two-time Championship winning coach in the AHL and a former Penguin that won two Stanley Cups with the team as a player, it's safe to say that the team is choosing a clear direction moving forward, with this group having the potential to be fantastic under Dan Muse.
