Per a report from Pittsburgh Penguins analyst Seth Rorabaugh, the team is expected to put forward Ryan Graves on waivers after trading for Yegor Chinakhov from the divisional foe Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Pittsburgh Penguins traded for Yegor Chinakhov from the divisional foe Columbus Blue Jackets earlier today, and they had to make room for him on the roster to accommodate him.
Per a report from Penguins analyst Seth Rorabaugh, Pittsburgh is expected to place forward Ryan Graves on waivers for what will be the second time this year.
To make room on the NHL roster for Yegor Chinakhov, the Penguins designated Ryan Graves as "non-roster" and plan to place him on waivers on Tuesday.

This will be his second time through waivers this season (Oct. 4). Seth Rorabaugh
In the 17 games he's played in this year, Graves has only a single goal.

Defenseman Ryan Graves Was Already Waived By The Pittsburgh Penguins Once This Year

Graves signed a six-year contract with the Penguins in 2023 and played 131 games in a Penguins sweater before being waived ahead of this season and assigned to the AHL.
He was taken with the 110th overall pick by the New York Rangers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft where he would play until 2018 when he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche for Chris Bigras.
Eventually, he was traded to the New Jersey Devils for Mikhail Maltsev and a second-round pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
In 2023, after finishing his contract with the Devils, he signed the six-year contract in Pittsburgh with an AAV (average annual value) of $4.5 million.
