DAZN and the NHL have announced a multi-year deal on Wednesday, one that will see Gary Bettman bring the Penguins to over 200 countries in the world.
Over the past few years, the business of the NHL has taken a steep incline, with suggestions that expansion and the $2 billion fee that comes along with it
could be incoming any day now, with Commissioner Gary Bettman continuing to grow the league around the world.
That bodes well for every team around the league, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will now be more easily accessible in over 200 countries in the world after the league's latest deal.
As announced by the league on social media, they have come to an agreement with DAZN that will bring the NHL to over 200 countries in the world, allowing fans across the world a much more easily accessible way to watch the Penguins and the NHL.
According to the press release, the deal is across multiple years, and will allow fans in over 200 countries (excluding Canada, the United States, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway) to watch every NHL game they please all in one streaming location.
This will help Commissioner Gary Bettman's ultimate goal as he looks to grow the game globally, with fans now able to take in the action for all 32 teams in one place as fans continue to learn about the game all across the globe.
While those in North America will still need to deal with the questionable at best quality that they get from their streaming services, but for fans around the world and the league itself, this latest deal is a huge victory.
