Former Penguin Jaromir Jagr seemingly hung up the skates, but according to Derek O'Brien the 52-year old has teased a return by taking the ice with Kladno as training camp opens.
Jaromir Jagr has had one of the longest professional careers in hockey history, with his debut coming all the way back in 1988 with the Kladno Knights before playing in an amazing 1,733 games in the National Hockey League.
According to
Derek O'Brien of The Hockey News however, that may not be the case after all, as Jagr has been seen on the ice ahead of a new season in Czechia, with many believing that he could go around for season No. 38 in his incredible career in 2025/26.
Jagr's Future Still Uncertain as He Trains for Potential 38th Professional Season
At this point in time, no official statement has been made about Jagr's playing future, but given the fact that he has continued to play well for Kladno, the team he has ownership in, it wouldn't shock anyone that knows Jagr if he goes around again next season after the team finished 13th out of 14 teams in the standings a season ago.
Jaromir Jagr, together with Kladno, is preparing for his 38th professional season in his career.
While many in Czechia still enjoy seeing Jagr on the ice, there's a limit to how many hockey games the body can handle, and if he does go again this season, it may finally be his last.
Ultimately though, if he does go again, fans will enjoy seeing and hearing about the exploits of one of hockey's greatest ever players, and while we don't know what the future holds yet, it's hard to deny the excitement of potentially seeing him go around again.
