Are the Pittsburgh Penguins considering buying out goaltender Tristan Jarry? If so, there are a potential few landing spots that he could end up in.
It was a difficult year for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have now missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 3rd straight year.
Speaking of difficult years, goaltender Tristan Jarry certainly went through one; he was waived by the team at one point after a poor start and relegated to the American Hockey League.
While he eventually came back to the Penguins and improved his play, he eventually slid back into his old poor performances that had caused the club to waive him earlier in the year in the 1st place.
While he is under contract through 2028 with an AAV (average annual value) of $5,375,000, the Penguins and general manger Kyle Dubas could reportedly be considering a contract buyout.
Per NHL Trade Rumors, a buyout by the Penguins could result in Jarry eventually landing with a club like the Edmonton Oilers; they also suggest the Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes, Philadelphia Flyers and Seattle Kraken as potential landing spots.
As far as potential landing spots, the Edmonton Oilers could reshape their crease this summer and could give Jarry a look, same goes for the Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes, Philadelphia Flyers, and Seattle Kraken.

Either way, Dubas has a major decision ahead of him this summer as to what his goaltending is going to look like for next year.
