Over the years, Sidney Crosby has gained the respect of the entire National Hockey League and the fans for his play on the ice, his leadership and his pure obsession with the sport that he has mastered.

Now, one of his former teammates has opened up on hockey and his time with the Penguins, revealing just how impressive Crosby's mind is, and just how obsessed he is with the game, winning and being the best.
"That's very individual. Some guys thrive on it, others get sick of it. I know players who never stop watching hockey. When I was with Sidney Crosby in Pittsburgh, he could walk into the room and start discussing a shift from the previous night's game - he saw everything, remembered everything. For him, that was normal. For others, with family and kids, if hockey is the only thing in life, you'd go crazy. Everyone is different."
In the
interview with RG Media, Sergei Gonchar reveals times when Crosby would simply remember everything from a game and come to the rink the next day talking about it, looking to improve, and while that seemed normal to Crosby, it clearly wasn't.
What this interview tells us is what most, if not all around the NHL already knew, and that was what a great leader and hockey mind Crosby is, and with Gonchar revealing this in his interview, it's bound to add more layers of respect for Crosby and his amazing abilities.
