Today, Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby spoke to the media and addressed possibly playing for Canada for the last time at the 2026 Olympic Games.

The Pittsburgh Penguins conducted their media day this afternoon as part of the NHL's Global Series event in Sweden.
During the press conference today, Crosby spoke to the media about a wide variety of topics including the upcoming 2026 Olympic Games in Italy.
In June, Crosby was named as one of the first six Canadians named to the Olympic team that will feature NHL players for the first time in over a decade after the NHL outlawed their players from participating.
Today, Crosby spoke about the opportunity to represent Canada for what could be the last time.

Sidney Crosby opens up about representing Canada at the 2026 Olympic Games

In a new interview with RG Crosby spoke about how grateful he is to be once again heading to the Olympic Games.
Just having the chance to do it again. With the couple [Olympics] that we missed, I didn't know if we were going to go back or if it was going to take time. Those ones that felt like they were going to happen and they didn't, almost at the last minute, so I tried not to get my hopes up too much.

Despite this potentially being Crosby's final crack at winning Olympic gold he is staying in the moment and trying to be the best he can for his country.
I don't think you have time to really reflect too much about that. I think it's just more enjoying competing with [the younger stars] and trying to continue to learn. At my age, I've experienced a lot, but the fun thing is continuing to try to learn and get better.

Crosby and Team Canada will head over to Italy in just a couple of months as they look to showcase themselves and bring pride to their families and their country once again after a long hiatus.
