Sidney Crosby Dominates NHL Voting to Claim Prestigious Honor

For the past two decades, Sidney Crosby has been one of the best players and the best leaders in the NHL, and with incredible consistency, he's now regarded as one of the best players in league history.

Even at age-37, Crosby has put together another fantastic campaign on a struggling Penguins squad, posting 32 goals and 89 points in 79 games played, surpassing Wayne Gretzky for the most point-per-game seasons in league history.

Now, he's gained another honour, as the NHLPA's Player Poll has named him as the Most Complete Player in the NHL, with No. 87 winning the award for the sixth-consecutive season.

In truth, there's very few other players that even come close to Crosby in complete games, as he plays a 200ft game, is a fantastic leader, scores great, clutch goals and puts his teammates in the best possible position to succeed.

While there may be more explosive offensive players in the NHL like Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar or Nikita Kucherov, or better shutdown defenders like Thomas Harley or Chris Tanev, there's few that do it all better than No. 87 in league history.

With over 80 points on the season again, Crosby's production has hardly slowed down as he continues to age, and with the game still holding up all over the ice, it's safe to say that Penguins fans are expecting to enjoy their superstar captain for years and years to come.
