Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will now captain Canada being one of the few players along with Drew Doughty that also participated in the 2014 games as well.

In an interview posted on YouTube, Crosby compared the thrill of winning an Olympic gold medal to playing in a Stanley Cup final.
I have it right up there with playing in the Stanley Cup finals. It’s a different experience as far as it’s a short-term event, but it’s something that we all dream of being a part of. I think I’m just grateful for the opportunity to be able to do it again and would love to be able to win again.
Crosby’s comments seem to indicate he prefers winning a Stanley Cup with the Penguins but the magnitude of representing Canada cannot be understated.
Crosby, 38, enters the tournament as one of the favorites to potentially take home tournament MVP in Canada’s quest for the first time since that 2014 team that Crosby was on.
Canada kicks off their tournament against Czechia on February 12th.
