Penguins captain Sidney Crosby spoke about his relationship with Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang today during his end-of-season exit interview.

The 2025 NHL playoffs are officially under way today and for the second time in as many years, Sidney Crosby and the rest of the Pittsburgh Penguins will be watching them unfold from their homes.
The team officially wrapped up their season with exit interviews from the coaching staff and players, including Crosby.
Personally, Crosby had an incredible season putting up 91 points in 80 games.
He hit a number of career milestones and became one of the oldest players to ever record a 90-point season.
But sadly, one player does not make an NHL team and Crosby's heroics were not enough to get the team into the playoffs.
This is a tough pill to swallow for him and his teammates who have become so accustomed to winning over the years.
The Penguins have cultivated a very special team as the core has remained steady for so long, with Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang forming the ultimate trifecta over the past two decades.
Today, Crosby addressed what his relationship is like with those two teammates and what they mean to him and the team overall.
"It means a lot. It's super rare. When you go through that amount of time together, obviously there's highs and there's lows. But also there's some amazing experiences and things you can't replace. Having the opportunity to do that for as long as we have - being there for each other too, there's been a lot of different points where we've had to lean on each other in different circumstances - it's pretty nice and quite a luxury to have an opportunity to play with guys that long and basically grow up with them in the league and on the team."
Unfortunately, father time remains undefeated, and it appears as though the Penguins are his next victim.
Will Kyle Dubas be able to get Crosby and his buddies into the playoffs one last time before the gang retires? Tune in next season to find out.
