During a recent interview after practice Crosby spoke to the media and was asked about Team Canada and the Olympics.
He confirmed he is excited and honored to represent his country and is excited to now be able to focus on preparing with the other members of the team.
There's probably been a lot of talk surrounding (Canada's Olympic roster), so it's good to have the team made and be able to focus on all the things we need to do leading up to it. But it's exciting to see the names on that list and to know it's getting closer. - Sidney Crosby
Crosby last played in the 2014 Olympic Games when he was the captain of Canada and put up 3 points in 6 games taking home a gold medal in a season where he would also go on to win the Hart Trophy.
Crosby and Canada will look to take home another gold medal when Olympic play begins in early February.
