Sidney Crosby set another record today as the Penguins visit the Dallas Stars, showing he still has it even at the age of 37.

Sidney Crosby is one of the greatest players in the history of the NHL.
His career accomplishments speak for themselves. Over 1300 games played, over 600 goals, nearly 1700 points, three Stanley Cup championships, a dozen individual awards including two Conn Smythe trophies, and much more.
This season he continues to put his name in the record books.
Just as an example, last month, he became the first player in NHL history to record twenty point-per-game seasons in the league.
He also continues to establish new Penguins franchise records, in addition to his league-wide records.
Today he set a new NHL record, becoming the oldest player in league history to record a point streak of 12 or more games.
With two goals and an assist today, Crosby is up to 19 points in that stretch.
It has been incredible seeing what Crosby can do even in his late 30s.
His current point streak is the longest active streak in the NHL and is the fourth longest of his career.
Crosby is now up to 29 goals and 85 points in 74 games played this season.
He has 621 career goals and 1681 points in 1347 career games.
He is signed for two more seasons with Pittsburgh after this one but at this rate who knows what he could do?
If he keeps scoring like this, he very well could sign another extension that would take him well into his 40s.
