Tristan Jarry Speaks on His Future in Pittsburgh as Penguins Begin Offseason Talks

While he's had some fantastic seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tristan Jarry's play fell off in a big way this season, even being waived by the NHL club earlier this season.

In 31 games played this season, Jarry has posted a 3.17 GAA and an .892 save percentage, and in all honesty, those numbers make a poor season look much better than it has been.

Jarry may be locked in to Pittsburgh until the end of the 2027/28 campaign on a deal that pays him $5.375 million per season, but there's been plenty of speculation about the possibility of a buyout or even sending him and additional assets out in a trade to clear up space in the summer.

Now, Jarry has addressed his future, and unsurprisingly, he doesn't want his time in Pittsburgh to come to an end anytime soon after a fantastic career with the team thus far.

These comments signify that Jarry is keenly aware of the chatter around his future, and while Kyle Dubas has been urged to get rid of him and his contract in any way possible, it's unclear how the team are feeling.

We've seen the best version of Jarry at points this season, but it's clear that he's been in his own head throughout his struggles, so whether or not he leaves in the coming months, the veteran goaltender has made it clear that he wants to remain a Penguin.
