Shortly after the NHL greenlit veteran forward Corey Perry to explore new opportunities, discussions are buzzing about where the seasoned player might land. Perry's contract with the Chicago Blackhawks was terminated on Nov. 30, 2023, following an undisclosed incident, prompting curiosity about his next move.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, sharing thoughts on the Jeff Marek show, weighed in on the chances of Perry joining a Canadian team, mentioning the Maple Leafs or Oilers. However, he raised the pertinent question of whether Perry would lean towards a quieter destination, considering the intense media scrutiny in markets like Edmonton and Toronto.
"I just think one of the questions is, is Perry going to want somewhere quieter?" Friedman mused. "TOR is a loud market; I don't think that's going to work. EDM's a louder market, though I definitely believe they have interest. Are there going to be some teams in quieter situations?"

Friedman's observations introduce a range of potential destinations for Perry. The speculation gains momentum, and a tweet indicates Florida as a plausible fit, suggesting a return to familiar settings in Tampa or a seamless fit with the Panthers.
