In response to the NHL's decision to suspend him for five games due to a hit on Ottawa SenatorsRidley Greig, Morgan Rielly has chosen to file an appeal.

The incident occurred over the weekend when Greig scored a controversial empty-net goal with a slap-shot. Rielly, displeased with the play, delivered a hit to Greig's head.
