Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Simon Benoit recently spoke out after being healthy scratched multiple times. Expressing his frustration, he said,
"If you're happy to be sitting out, I don't think you're in the right sport. I'm not happy, but I understand it's part of the game and I will do my best to get back in there."

Benoit's sentiments resonate with many Leafs fans who believe he deserves a spot in the lineup. Criticism has been directed at coach Sheldon Keefe for his lineup decisions. One fan lamented,
"They're really sitting Simon Benoit — our best defenseman, in his hometown because we didn't trade for a RHD. Can't make this shit up."

Despite the controversy, Benoit has proven himself as one of the league's top defensive defensemen this year. Questions arise as to why he's not a regular on the roster, especially when comparing him to other players' performances.
