Former NHL Goalie and First Round Pick Taunts the Maple Leafs with Mitch Marner Prediction
Mitch Marner left the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer, and now Mathieu Chouinard has made a massive prediction about his new team that will infuriate Leafs fans.
After nine long seasons in his home town of Toronto, Mitch Marner departed the team this off-season, prompting plenty of hatred from loyal Maple Leafs fans who feel he deserted them.
The
deal was highly criticized too as he was part of a sign-and-trade with the Vegas Golden Knights, but now, Marner is set to join
Jack Eichel on the Golden Knights top line as they look to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 2023.
Former NHLer makes massive prediction about Vegas' chances in 2026
"I put Vegas in the Stanley Cup Final this year." - Mathieu Chouinard
Last season, they fell in round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to the Edmonton Oilers, but with a legit 100-point scorer added to a line with one of the best centres in the entire NHL, it gives them a chance to match up with the other star studded teams in the Western Conference.
Ultimately, the departure of Marner could end up being what's best for Toronto, but after so much success with the organization in the regular season, it would no doubt hurt so many of their fans if he went on to success with Vegas, with fans in Toronto likely to be in an uproar if he makes it to the Stanley Cup Finals in his first year with his new team.
