Former Washington Capitals assistant coach Mitch Love has found a new job overseas in the KHL after being suspended from the NHL and fired in Washington.

Former Washington Capitals assistant coach Mitch Love, who was fired from the team and suspended from the NHL for the entire year, has found a new job.
He is going overseas and has been hired as the next coach of the Shanghai Dragons in the KHL:

The position was open after coach Gerard Gallant, who has previously coached in the NHL with teams like the Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights and New York Rangers, stepped down after surviving a health scare.
After battling an illness, Gerard Gallant in consultation with his KHL team doctors and management, has decided to step away from coaching the rest of the season. He's doing better. Wants to focus on getting back to 100 percent health. He's headed back home to PEI. - Pierre LeBrun

Mitch Love Was Fired By The Capitals After An Investigation Into His Conduct

Love was placed on leave by the Capitals in the middle of September, and was eventually fired.
The Capitals then released a statement announcing that it was because of the results of an investigation and their findings.

Love had been a contender for the head coaching position with both the Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Penguins, both of whom eventually went with different hirings.
