Tragedy Strikes The Hockey Community As Former NHLer Sadly Passes Away
We have some somber news to share in the hockey world this Friday morning.
After a courageous battle with cancer, former National Hockey League forward Reginald Savage has passed away at the age of 53.
Savage dedicated the majority of his professional hockey career to the American Hockey League and IHL, with some additional time in European leagues.
The 1988 15th overall pick made appearances in 34 games with the Washington Capitals and Quebec Nordiques over parts of three NHL seasons, amassing 12 points (five goals, seven assists), 28 penalty minutes, and a minus-two rating.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Reginald Savage's family and friends during this challenging time.
