Under Overton the team drafted the following players, Captain Jamie Benn was a fifth round pick during the 2007 draft, Trevor Daley (43rd in 2002), Jussi Jokinen (192nd 2001), Roope Hintz (49th in 2015), Jason Robertson (39th 2017) and Jake Oettinger (26th 2017).
