The hockey world has tragically been thrust into mourning with the passing of 29-year-old forward Jacob Bresser.

There is sad news out of the world of hockey today, as reports have confirmed the passing of 29-year-old Jacob Bresser, who left us all far too quickly at a young age.
Bresser's hockey career began to be noticed when he scored 70 points (47G, 23A) in just 24 games at Eau Claire Memorial High School, eventually leading to a short stint with Chicago's USHL team.
Bresser later skated for the NCAA's University of Wisconsin Badgers, eventually earning the title of team captain along with being named an NCAA III (ACHA) First Team All-American.
A pair of his former clubs issued statements of remembrance for him on their respective X accounts.
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jacob Bresser, who proudly wore our jersey during the 2015-16 season. Bresser was a great person on and off the ice. We will miss you deeply. Once a Jet, Always a Jet. ✈️💙
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of one of our own, Jacob Bresser. An Eau Claire kid who embodied what it truly meant to be a Blugold as a captain, a teammate, a son, a brother, and a husband. Once a Blugold, always a Blugold.
Not only known for his skills on the ice, but he was also known for his intelligence and steady mind that led to the earning of a Masters Degree.
His skillset wasn't just used on the ice, he was a Series 7 financial Planner after passing 66 exams, grading in 2020 with dual majors where he would later on earn his Master's Degree.
