Marc-André Fleury took another step towards a potential return to the NHL after a dominant game for Team Canada at the World Championship.

Goaltender Marc-André Fleury doesn't look like a guy who's retiring this summer. Currently representing his country at the World Championship in Sweden and Denmark alongside former teamates Sidney Crosby and fellow countrymen Nathan MacKinnon, Michael Matheson, Macklin Celebrini and many more, Fleury is out on the ice, living his best life.
This is what he said when he confirmed his retirement, which suggests he'S not redy to hang up his skates just yet:
"Just, I don't know, still a little unbelievable that it's over. Twenty years went by so quick, right?"

"I feel like I'll have to try different things, see what (Wild general manager Bill Guerin) has in mind, maybe if he has something for me. I think I know goalies better, but I don't want to be a coach. I don't want to do media, no TV, nothing like that. I don't know. If I can help the younger guys maybe in some ways, that could be fun too."

Yesterday, Canada beat Latvia 7-1, and Fleury won the player of the game title, after many spectacular saves:
After the game, he shared some insights on his performance, saying he had fun and is proud to be a part of such a talented group of players:
"It was a fun game. I had a bit of a tough start, but it was a great time. The Latvian fans were awesome and they were making noise all game long."

"The boys in front of me scored some big goals and had a lot of blocked shots, so that was a big help. This is a great roster and a great group of guys, and our chemistry is already very good."

"Everyone here wants to do well, and we know that goal differential is important in this tournament, so it was nice to get a big win today."

Later, Fleury's agent Allan Walsh made a massive comment when he suggested that Fleury had "kind of" made his mind for his future:
Fleury turned 40 years old during the season. He ended the year with a .899 SV%, and a 2.93 GAA after 26 games with the Wild.
Fans are eager to see him in uniform for Team Canada in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, stay tuned for all the latest developments about his future in the NHL.
