Minnesota Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury announced his intentions to retire from the NHL, but now fans aren't so sure based on the latest comment from his agent Allan Walsh.
It would appear as though the National Hockey League career of goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, who is 2nd on the League's all-time win list behind only Martin Brodeur, is finished.
He announced his intentions to hang up the pads after this most recent season with the Minnesota Wild ended, which it did after a playoff loss against his former club, the Vegas Golden Knights.
Fleury decided he wasn't quite ready to skate off into retirement from competitive play, joining the Canadian squad for the 2025 IIHF World Championships overseas
as he indicated during Minnesota's season-ending media session.

Fleury, who won 3 Stanley Cups in his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins before later playing for the Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks and Wild, was recently named to the
NHL's Quarter Century Team.
The list is made up of the best players to have played in the NHL since 2000; Fleury was the top pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Penguins and still holds multiple team goaltending records - including wins, playoff wins, games played, and shutouts.
Will we see Fleury for one true final year in the NHL, or are Walsh's words much ado about nothing?
